TOURNAMENT RULES:

1. Each team is composed of six members: one captain and five bridge crew members (Helm, Weapons, Communication, Science, and Engineering). A team may register an additional reserve member who can substitute for another member if needed.

2. Each team must register onsite at the Contest Registration booth at NexCon. Team registrations start at 11:00 AM and are on a first come, first serve basis. A team may only compete on either Day 1 or Day 2.

3. Official matches are scheduled from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Teams who prefer to play at a specific time slot may choose their time slot on a first come, first serve basis.

4. Match schedules are as follows:

APRIL 2, 2016 (Saturday)

* 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM – Artemis open to the public
* 1:00 PM to 1:40 PM – Team 1 VS Team 2 = Semi-finalist 1
* 1:40 PM to 2:20 PM – Team 3 VS Team 4 = Semi-finalist 2
* 2:20 PM to 3:00 PM – Team 5 VS Team 6 = Semi-finalist 3
* 3:00 PM to 3:40 PM – Team 7 VS Team 8 = Semi-finalist 4
* 3:40 PM to 4:20 PM – Semi-finalist 1 vs Semi-finalist 2 = Finalist 1
* 4:20 PM to 5:00 PM – Semi-finalist 3 vs Semi-finalist 4 = Finalist 2
* 5:00 PM to 5:40 PM – Finalist 1 vs Finalist 2 = Day 1 winner
* 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM – Artemis open to the public

APRIL 3, 2016 (Sunday)

* 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM – Artemis open to the public
* 1:00 PM to 1:40 PM – Team 1 VS Team 2 = Semi-finalist 1
* 1:40 PM to 2:20 PM – Team 3 VS Team 4 = Semi-finalist 2
* 2:20 PM to 3:00 PM – Team 5 VS Team 6 = Semi-finalist 3
* 3:00 PM to 3:40 PM – Team 7 VS Team 8 = Semi-finalist 4
* 3:40 PM to 4:20 PM – Semi-finalist 1 vs Semi-finalist 2 = Finalist 1
* 4:20 PM to 5:00 PM – Semi-finalist 3 vs Semi-finalist 4 = Finalist 2
* 5:00 PM to 5:40 PM – Finalist 1 vs Finalist 2 = Day 2 winner
* 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM – Artemis open to the public

5. Please arrive at the Artemis gaming area five minutes before your scheduled match. Teams are allowed a five minute grace period. If a team is not ready to compete by this time, the match is forfeited and their opponent automatically wins.

6. Each match is 40 minutes long (30 minutes actual play time, 10 minutes transition between matches). The objective of the game is to blow up the opposing team’s ship as many times as possible within 30 minutes. The team with the most number of kills is declared the winner.

7. There will be a special prize for Best Team Costume.

8. Teams may opt to practice during the open times (11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM). Match length during the open times is limited to 30 minutes (20 minutes actual play time, 10 minutes transition between matches).
